“I was born and brought up in Cape Town, where I trained as a nurse and midwife. I have lived in the UK for over 30 years, where I held various clinical and management roles in the NHS.
In 2025, I was honoured to receive the British Empire Medal for my work on improving maternity outcomes for mothers and babies.
I have always loved travelling and have visited many countries including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. And I am passionate about sharing the culture, vibrancy and lifestyle in South Africa. So I trained and qualified as a tourist guide for Cape Town, the Garden Route, Namaqualand and the Western Cape.
I am a practical, safety-conscious person who enjoys making people happy. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans.
